April 2025- Installed Fedora 42 on server which included an upgrade to GRAMPS 6.
- Regenerated web pages to new location.
- Copied only needed custom pages from existing location and edited them to use relative links to make them more portable.
- Renamed original location and regenerated web pages to original site name.
- Received email from familysearch.org that I am related to Susan B. Anthony. Working on that.
- Created a page showing links to famous people.
- Finished adding links to Susan B. Anthony.
- Also added links through father's side linking to American inventor Eli Whitney. Mother's side is also related to him but I had those links already.
- Used Ancentry.com to trace back to my 13th great grandfather, John Dennett. Thanks to a cousin, Louise Carolyn Dennett (now Phelps) for giving me access to her family tree on Ancestry.com.
- Continuing with the Maine vital records.
- Also started looking up individuals at Find A Grave.
- I've located copies of handwritten vital records (birth, death, marriage) from Maine where a lot of my ancestors originated. These records are on the LDS website Maine Vital Records, 1670-1921. There a a lot of Dennetts and I don't know how or if they are related to me, but I am adding in most of them in in order to be as complete as possible.
Future plans
- Look up other Maine records on the LDS website . Also see if such data exists for New Hampshire and possibly Massachusetts.
- Continue search in Find A Grave.
- Reseach the Whineys on my fathers side.
- Partially done. Have names and relations but need to go back and fill in details of individuals
- Look for Tyler Denett of Columbus, OH. He was headmaster at Columbus Acadamy where my daughter-in-law teaches and my grandson is a student.
